Taipei International Cycle Show - 2009, March 20th

We went to see the international cycle show on last Friday in TWTC in Nangang and we have many people to join us just as the last time when we visited the machine tool show. I did see lots of bicycles there. Some of the bicycles are really light and I can even lift them up. There are many bicycle companies in the fourth floor which includes Giant and Merida. The bicycle parts are presented in the first floor. I saw one bike with the multi-function adjustable wheels, light handlebars, light seats, different colored ring bells, different functioned tires, colored tires, helmets, bottles and a bike which worth 1 million NT dollars. Since it was decorated with Swarovski crystals , and it accounts for half of the prize.

The most unforgettable thing happened in this bicycle show is that I got a chance to ride on a smart and good bike just like a show girl. In fact, I asked the sales there whether we can ride on it or not for Jerry. But it’s me who turned out to be the one to ride on the bike. There is also a British sales who sells the bikes by demonstrating it and he folded the bike with ease. We also went to see the bikes and products in Giant and Merida. I like the bike with leather best in Giant.

Taipei International Machine Tool Show - 2009, March 6th

We got a chance to see the Machine Tool Show in Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) in Nangang for free. (In fact, the admission ticket is NT $ 200.) We went to the first and fourth floors to enjoy the show though the machines there in both these two floors look the same to me. I saw a lot of cutting machine tools there though what I am looking forward is the Industrial Robot. I like robots! Anyway, then we felt so hungry for our lunch because we ate nothing during the lunch time. And guess what? Though the TWTC has a Convenient Store/ Cafeteria/ Restaurant/ Snack Bar there, the food sold in these places are so expensive. Therefore, we kept browsing those machines till 3 o’clock as I can recall. Then after the visiting the Machine Tool Show, we went to a restaurant in Shida Night Market for our late luch.

And one thing that amazes me is that the TWTC has even prepared a Prayer Room for Muslims in the exhibition hall!! Wow! They even provided the visitors and buyers with the Currency Exchange, Free Internet Service, Luggage Storage Service, First Aid, Express Couriers, and Legal Consultation Service. And I also heard that there is a fair shop inside the TWTC. I regret that I didn’t go to buy some stuff in the Fair Shops.

One more thing that I need to mention is that Alex found a machine tool company, YMC which is also in my hometown in Taichung County. I got the brochure from Alex. It’s really a pity that the words are all written in Chinese in that brochure cuz it would be better for the company to provide the products also with the English translation to gain more attention from the buyers abroad.
